On this page you can access the live stream, links and resources for our 3rd June 2020 Maternity & Midwifery Hour live stream.

This week’s episode of Maternity & Midwifery Hour will explore Human Rights in Maternity care during COVID-19 crisis and is hosted as usual by Sue Macdonald, Co-editor, Mayes Midwifery.

Joining us for this episode are:

Maria Booker, Programme Director, Birthrights
Professor Lesley Page CBE, Visiting Professor, King’s College London

Women are vulnerable during pregnancy. For first time mothers in particular, the experience can be daunting and they might not feel confident about standing up for their rights.

What does respectful, dignified maternity care look like? How can we make sure that a high standard of respectful, dignified care is provided despite the challenges of COVID-19?

In this Maternity & Midwifery Hour, Sue, Lesley and Maria will provide up-to-date information and discussion on how midwives can safeguard women’s dignity and ensure that they are treated with respect during pregnancy and birth.

The video will be available to watch right here on Wednesday 3rd June from 7:00 – 8:00pm.
