Elizabeth (Rosie) Brinkler
RN RM BA BSc MSc
Lead Midwife for high Risk care.
I started my career in nursing within the neurosciences critical care unit at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge. In 2004, I became one of the first substantive critical care outreach nurses for the trust, providing critical care skills at the bedside, escalating care and supporting ward staff. During this time I had experience of working alongside midwives within the Rosie maternity unit, caring and supporting acutely unwell women throughout pregnancy. In 2009 I trained as a midwife and my passion for normalising complex women was ignited. Additionally, in 2013 I became the lead high risk midwife for the Rosie maternity Hospital and currently manage the Obstetric Close Observation Unit. I have recently completed a secondment as a trainee consultant midwife; furthermore, I continue to advise, support and empower midwives caring for complex high risk women.
