Ulrike (Ulli) Hunting
University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust
Ulli is a delivery suite coordinator at Leicester General Hospital with over 27 years’ experience in midwifery. She qualified as a registered nurse at North Middlesex Hospital (London) in 1988 and as a registered midwife in Leicester in 1991. She is also a Professional Midwifery Advocate having previously been a Supervisor of Midwives.
Ulli regularly teaches on multidisciplinary training days and organises formal teaching sessions within the Trust to ensure safe evidence based practice. Having been inspired by an Acute Care Simulation training day she attended to look for ways to comply with CQC requirements; she organised a team to devise the Enhanced Maternity Care simulation training day at UHL.
Ulli’s other organisational skills involved organising last year’s Race for Life team for LGH midwives which we are extending to UHL midwives for this year.
