Dr Helen White

Helen White is a lecturer and researcher in midwifery at The University of Manchester. Previously, Helen was a consultant midwife at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust, having undertaken a consultant practitioner training programme with NHS Education South Central (now the Wessex Deanery). Helen completed her Doctorate in Clinical Practice in 2015, including original research into a model of midwife-led antenatal care for women with one previous caesarean section. Helen’s current research areas include gaining a deeper understanding of the experiences of women and clinicians in threatened preterm labour, and of women who have previously birth by caesarean section.
