Rachel Hayden

Founder and Trainer

Gifts of Remembrance

Following the stillbirth of her son Rowan in 2008 Rachel was inspired by the award winning work of documentary photographer Todd Hochberg and received training from him in Chicago. This equipped her to volunteer as a bereavement photographer in her local hospital and help train the staff there. In 2011 she founded ‘Gifts of Remembrance’ which offers workshops in memory making and bereavement photography.

Her unique and highly successful training days not only bring her experience as a bereaved parent, volunteer photographer and Sands befriender but also utilise her previous skills as a mental health practitioner, occupational therapist, researcher and NHS manager.
