Clare began her NHS career as qualified Nurse in 2005, then went on to qualify as a midwife in 2007. Working at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust with an average of 2,400 births per year, Clare worked in most areas. Clare first discovered her passion for innovation and change within maternity services when leading on the implementation of the new Maternity Assessment Centre. Clare then gained a post as Lead Midwife for Parent Education, developing this new service also. Clare gained her first management post as Community Midwifery Manager early 2015 and since then has gone onto actively innovate and transform maternity services at Airedale. Currently Clare is leading on the Maternity Transformation programme including the implementation of an electronic patient record, redesign of services and increasing the profile of the maternity unit.
