Chief Executive, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde

Chair, Best Start Implementation Programme Board

Ms Jane Grant was appointed in her capacity as Chief Executive of Greater Glasgow and Clyde NHS Board from 1st April 2017.

Ms Grant was previously the Chief Executive of NHS Forth Valley for a period of three and a half years. Prior to joining NHS Forth Valley Ms Grant spent four and a half years as Chief Operating Officer for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

Prior to these posts, Jane has held a variety of positions within various Health Boards across Scotland.
On 26th February 2015, the Minister for Public Health, Ms Maureen Watt MSP, announced a Review of Maternity and Neonatal services in Scotland. Jane who was at that time Chief Executive, NHS Forth Valley was appointed in July 2015 to lead on the Review.

Following publication of The Best Start: A Five Year Forward Plan for Maternity and Neonatal Care in Scotland on 20th January 2017, Jane was appointed on 21st February 2017 to lead the implementation of the recommendations.
